Everest Training & Consulting completes Staff to Supervisor Training for Washington Demilitarization Co.

Pine Bluff AK, July 14, 2005 - Everest Training completed a two day intensive training workshop for team leaders and new supervisors for the Washington Demilitarization Co. The training included basic motivational and leadership skills with a focus on Staff to Supervisor insights and techniques.

"We are committed to promoting from within," stated Marty Jackson, Training Manager. "Our work with nuclear, chemical and other weapon systems requires extensive knowledge of our practices and procedures learned on the job. So it makes sense to promote from line staff to supervisor but it also adds to the situation when a new supervisor now is supervising those who last week were peers" said Jackson. "Due to regulations there is not always much flexibility so we really need to be conscious of coaching rather than directing whenever possible," stated Valerie Mooney, Lead Chemist and recently appointed supervisor, who attended the training. "This program showed me how to relate to employees, how to deal with confrontations and conflicts and how to establish expectations before beginning work instead of questioning why expected results were not achieved" reported Mooney.

Everest Training & Consulting is committed to enabling organizations to innovate to profitability: to apply critical sales, staff to supervisor and leadership skills to create a competitive advantage and to maximize each person's contribution through individual, professional, and personal growth.
