7 - Eleven Inc. pilots enhanced Field Consultants Leadership Skills with Everest Training & Consulting

Dallas, Texas, April 2005. 7-Eleven Inc. successfully completed a pilot program for store Field Consultants with Everest Training & Consulting to enable the Consultants to be more consultative in advising 7 - Eleven franchisees and operators.

"We are committed to enhancing the partnership environment between 7-Eleven and the franchisees," stated Wayne Goodman, Training Specialist, 7-Eleven Inc. "We need to be more convincing because both 7-Eleven and the franchisee benefit from top line growth" said Goodman. "We have exciting, leading edge programs such as the Fresh Food initiative that will keep sales growing," stated Robin Pavlish, NW Region Marketing Manager. "The negotiation / influencing skills and refocusing techniques will provide the consulting and leadership skills to convince franchisees of the program benefits. That the course is tailored for 7-Eleven makes it easy to use and get results. I expect significant growth in our new programs as a result of this training program" stated Pavlish. The workshop dubbed Field Consultant Consultative Skills is based on the concept of being able to convince without authority. "Whether a Franchisee or company owned these skills are valuable for working with store operators" said June Townsend, Division Training Manager. "Getting buy-in makes execution that much easier that is why the focus of the workshop is to help sell ideas instead of tell ideas" said Townsend.
