Custom Electric Engages Everest Training & Consulting to Enhance Organizational Teamwork via Employee Empowerment

Wixom, Michigan, February 16, 2006 - Custom Electric Co., maker of specialty heating elements for industrial ovens and furnaces, has embarked on an employee empowerment and communication initiative to be coordinated by Ed Pritchard of Everest Training & Consulting.

"We asked Ed Pritchard to facilitate one-on-one and group sessions to enhance employee empowerment, communication and teamwork at Custom Electric" said Bob Edwards, President, Customer Electric. "The 360-Degree evaluation was very insightful and provided valuable information for reflection and discussion among the shop and front office people. We have seen a significant change in the way people interact - communication now is straightforward without a lot of harsh words or innuendoes. We feel Ed has made a difference and we did get our money's worth. A major challenge on my part has been employee empowerment. Through Ed's coaching we now take action that truly provides the empowerment opportunity for all employees; hourly and salaried. I have always been a proponent of employee empowerment, but I discovered some of our actions didn't support such an environment - that has changed." The program uses a blended approach of 360 degree and self-evaluations, small group learning, and one-on-one counseling and coaching.

Everest Training & Consulting is committed to enabling organizations to innovate to profitability: to apply critical employee empowerment and leadership skills to create a competitive advantage and to maximize each person's contribution through individual, professional, and personal growth.
